I’ve seen Spiritualized live a total of 5 times and J. Spaceman never speaks during the concert. No stage banter whatsoever. I take that back - he’s says two words each time I see him live - Thank You - at the end of each show.

So you can understand how blown away I was when this clip of him explaining the making of his new music video “Soul on Fire” showed up on Youtube. He actually seems like a real down to earth guy.

BTW - Soul on Fire is probably my favorite new Spiritualized song. I heard it live with a few other new songs (I’m not going to DL the leaked album) when I went to both nights of the Acoustic Mainline shows at the Vista Theater down the street from where I live.

The song gave me goose bumps (both nights, same moment) but the standing ovations went to a re-worked version of Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space that carried more of Can’t Help Falling in Love melody, which was pretty amazing.
