I was lucky enough to catch M.I.A.’s show at the Echoplex last year before the album came out and before this song became Girls Nite Out Anthem 08. M.I.A. played this song last and asked everybody to put the lighters and cell phones in the air (lame), but when the song started I seriously flipped cuz I thought she was going to cover The Clash’s Straight to Hell. Still, the song was the best moment of the night and one of my favorite songs of last year.
